About

Safeguarding is everybody's responsibility. As a companionship organisation, we support individuals who may be vulnerable due to age, disability, illness, bereavement, loneliness, social isolation, cognitive impairment, or mental health challenges. Although our service is not regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), we are committed to delivering services in line with recognised safeguarding best practice. Companions must be able to recognise abuse, respond appropriately to concerns, maintain professional boundaries, and promote the safety, dignity, rights, and wellbeing of those they support. This training provides learners with the knowledge required to identify safeguarding concerns, understand their responsibilities, and follow organisational safeguarding procedures.
